About Arola

Brand background and key notes.

Arola is a brand founded in 2005 by the Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola in Madrid, Spain. Its creator, originally from Catalonia, aimed to establish a culinary concept that blends innovation with tradition. From the outset, Arola has stood out for its avant-garde gastronomic approach, using high-quality ingredients while respecting classic culinary techniques.

In 2007, Arola opened its first restaurant outside of Spain, in Lisbon, thereby consolidating its reputation on the international stage. This development is part of a desire to share contemporary Spanish cuisine with a wider audience. The brand has since expanded to other cities, including Barcelona and Moscow, where it has continued to receive praise for its creative menu and friendly atmosphere.

From 2010 onwards, Arola diversified its activities by launching a range of food products, including sauces and condiments inspired by its signature recipes. This initiative has allowed the brand to reach new consumers beyond the restaurant experience. In 2015, Arola also began organising culinary workshops, further reinforcing its commitment to gastronomic education and sharing its passion for cooking.

Today, Arola is recognised as an innovative brand that continues to evolve and adapt to culinary trends while remaining true to its Spanish roots. The brand strives to maintain the quality and authenticity that marked its beginnings, while exploring new ideas and engaging in collaborations with other chefs and artisans.
